Business Support Manager (R&M) - Part time
Salary - £39,894.46 - £53,192.62 (Full time equivalent)

Please note this is a part-time opportunity, covering 20 hours across 3 days per week.

Purpose of the role
To provide a variety of business support services to the Director Renewables & Mitigation (R&M) and their management team in achieving successful development and delivery of the day-to-day business unit aims and objectives, including the facilitation of the monthly cadence of business reviews and the production of accurate management information in the form of reports and dashboards
Other duties Include:

Responsible for the facilitation/secretariat support and cadence of the R&M business reviews and meetings, including the production of meaningful business reports, dashboards and visual management outputs ensuring a personal focus on ensuring the consistency, timeliness and accuracy of all data inputs from systems and stakeholders

Facilitate the production of the R&M annual business plan in conjunction with the R&M management team. Ensure Key Success Factors (KSFs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are established that monitor the business activities and that all R&M activity is aligned with NATS’ strategy and objectives

Aid the management team in setting SMART targets that will deliver demonstrable benefits to NATS, understanding the impact on customers, stakeholders and the wider business performance

Maintain an Industry Event Plan that tracks the key events and identifies the drivers and motivations for R&M involvement, attendance and impact at selected events

Champion for the R&M ‘Team Vibe’, creating moments and opportunities to reinforce the culture of the team, the behaviours expected, and the general feel of who R&M are in order to be seen as a great team and place to work. The driving force behind team conferences, away days, and events - both work-related and more inform/social

Consolidate into digestible form relevant and important Market Insights, proactively gathering market intelligence from team members and activities which is then stored, shared and accessible to derive business value

Capture, track and internally publish the key relationships and information relating to different industry organisations and stakeholders, including internal and external customers, partners and suppliers, industry groups, government bodies and general market influencers

Explore and implement opportunities to aid team productivity & efficiency including the introduction of new tools, approaches and management systems.

Facilitation of Risk Management for R&M ensuring that risks are appropriately and accurately recorded and are being proactively managed

Maintain a tracker of all key business unit assets and purchases; liaise with finance to provide accurate information for entries on the NSL Growth financial asset register

Be the voice of R&M with responsibility for the local internal communications. Interface to central Marcomms/Marketing teams to ensure R&M is considered and involved

Create an impactful and current R&M presence on NATS systems such as the Hub, nats.aero, and TEAMS/SharePoint business unit sites

Manage and maintain the documentation and filing structures for the R&M business including but not limited to customer feedback, market intelligence, capture plans, bids, contracts, business models, and key management information/reports. Ensure correct document retention, availability and security access

Support the R&M team with a structured approach to prioritisation of activities and alignment of team efforts encouraging the right focus at the necessary time

Coordinate the R&M overhead budgets as part of the business planning process and maintain visibility of utilisation over the financial year

Monitor Salesforce and other management tools for regular, consistent use and accurate update of information relevant to the needs of the business, intervene, follow-up and escalate where appropriate
Essential skills and experience

A clear, logical thinker with the ability to understand and structure financial and business data and consistently apply sound and appropriate judgement.

Previous experience to include commercial exposure and a willingness to learn and further develop essential finance and business knowledge, as well as a willingness to work with and embrace a commercial risk management philosophy

Experience of creating, in a timely and accurate manner, monthly management reports.

Highly motivated with the ability to work under own initiative based on stated business goals with minimal supervision

A passionate, energetic and confident individual with strong organisational and administrative skills

Proven skills in delivering high-quality work within constrained timescales

Demonstrable ability to work both independently and as a close-knit team member where they can provide and accept appropriate challenge and support to achieve the business aims

Excellent interpersonal communication and team working skills. Experience of creating and delivering high-quality presentations to mid-level management groups and environments.

Highly proficient computer capability, with excellent working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), SharePoint and Salesforce and a willingness to develop and learn new tools for the benefit of the team/business (training will be given)

A natural ability to keep an eye on the bigger picture and not get lost in the detail

Attention to detail/accuracy is paramount, recognising and managing the resolution of errors ort inconsistencies
